A Few of Dave's Family Pictures

I'm happy to report that my parents were pretty normal people. They stayed married the whole time they were my parents, which is something I appreciate. I'm really sorry they're gone now, but they still occupy my thoughts quite a bit. I'll always love them and be grateful for their wise guidance.

Mom was an orphan who was adopted into a upper-middleclass family in Alameda, CA, and Dad came from middleclass folks in New Jersey. Here's a picture of Mom at about the time she met Dad in the early 40's. (As in the 1940's!)

Dad also looked pretty handsome in those days:

You can see that my Mom's adopted mother was quite old when Mom and Dad got married. Minnie, Mom's mother, died before I was born, so all I have is pictures of her like this one. The dog in her wheelchair was named "Pepper," and I recall the claw marks on the door to my boyhood room. The woman looking at the camera from behind Grandma was most likely Dotty Mayhan, one of Mom's best buddies. I am pretty sure that's Mom washing up with her back to the camera beside Dotty.

I married a woman named Tish Divine from Long Beach, CA. She was the most perfectly loving person I had ever met, aside from my mother. She looked a little older than this when we met:

We had a wonderful child named Virginia Catherine, "Ginny," and here is a picture of us several years ago on vacation in Florida. Ginny is six, now, and she'll be starting elementary school this year.

I'll put more in this page in the future, but this will do for a start right now.
